  • Approval of Minutes: July 24 th , 2023 meeting minutes: Approved motion by Commissioner Hunt/seconded by Commissioner Smith. No discussion
  • Review of requested financials: (See attachment): No changes, no discussion
  • 403B retirement contribution: Tabled for now. Tracy Selak to reach out to Jen Eckenrode from Financial Solutions this week. Further discussion at the next meeting being held in November.
  • BHoCC/County Agreement for 2024: Signed and approved by all parties. Reba to obtain original.
  • Revised Bi-Laws: Minor changes were made. Bill approved. Motion to approve by Commissioner Hunt/seconded by Commissioner Smith
  • Reinvestment Committee Meeting: Ad hoc:
    • i. Supportive Housing was submitted on August 31 st
    • ii. Transitional Housing ends this year. The plan will be amended to extend it for 2 years with an
    • increase in budget to make it more sustainable.
    • iii. Recovery Community Center (RCC): Closed on property/building on Fairfield Ave. 9/22
    • iv. Walk-in Crisis: On track for November 1 st . Open house October 18th
  • Behavioral Health of Cambria County (BHoCC) Key Initiatives for 2023:
    • i. Housing
    • ii. Suicide Awareness
    • iii. Educating schools on IBHS/referrals
  • Magellan Behavioral Health (MBH) Updates:
    • i. Recovery in the Valley, October 7 th , 11a-3p, Central Park
    • ii. Raising provider rates to market level
    • iii. Housing Consortium meetings are ongoing. Warming centers are in discussion
    • iv. October 9-14, WRAP training being offered to Walk-in Crisis & Breaking the Barriers staff
    • v. BHoCC/MBH working on 2024 agreement
  • 2023 BHoCC Trainings: UPDATE: All trainings will be held in-person (Cambria County Academic Center) and transition to zoom if needed due to COVID regulations. More information can be found on our FB page and/or website www.bhocc.org.
