  • Approval of Minutes: July 22nd, 2024 meeting minutes: Approved motion by Commissioner Keith Rager/ seconded by Commissioner Tom Chernisky. No discussion.
  • Review of requested financials: (See attachment) No discussion.
  • Approval of short-term and long-term disability for BHoCC employees
    • Motion to approve life insurance. Approved by Commissioner Hunt, Commissioner Rager, and Commissioner Chernisky
    • Motion to approve short and long-term disability. Approved by Commissioner Hunt/seconded by Commissioner Rager. Opposed, Commissioner Chernisky
  • Reinvestment Committee Meeting: Ad hoc:
    • Peer Run Shelter
      • Approved by OHMSAS for 1.5 million over 3 years
      • RFP meeting on 10/8
      • Responses of RFP will be made aware to the commissioners
      • RPFs need to be in the process no later than 12/31
  • Behavioral Health of Cambria County (BHoCC) Key Initiatives for 2024: No new updates. No discussion
  • Magellan Behavioral Health (MBH) Updates:
    • Recovery in the Valley, 9/28, 11 am-3 pm, Central Park
    • Cambria County Housing Summit, 10/15, 10 am – 2pm, Aces
    • Rate negotiations are currently taking place with OHMSAS
    • QPR Training took place at Forest Hills School District for all faculty and staff on August 19 and August 21
    • 2 sessions of Adult Mental Health First Aid took place with JWF staff
    • Monthly meetings with the SCA are taking place at 8:30 (prior to OPS meeting)
  • 2024 BHoCC Trainings: UPDATE: All trainings will be held in-person (Cambria County Academic Center). More information can be found on our FB page and/or website www.bhocc.org.
    • Motivational Interviewing 2-Day Workshop, September 24th & 25th
    • S.M.A.R.T. Goals, October 16th, 9-4, Barbara Orr
    • Motivational Interviewing Train-the-Trainer (3-Day), November 5th , 6th , 7th , 9-4
    • Sex And Drugs: Dual Companions: November 15th, 9-4
  • Executive Session:  n/a
