  • Approval of Minutes: May 22 nd , 2023 meeting minutes: Approved motion by Commissioner Hunt/seconded by Commissioner Chernisky. No discussion.

  • CFST Contract: Signed by Commissioner Chernisky
  • OOC by-laws: Updates needed
    • Voting: This section needs updating to reflect the HC board members’ voting capacity on agenda items.
      • We meet bimonthly on the 4 th Monday of each month here in the CPC building.
      • Voting:  We are required to have HealthChoices board members as voting members, (we have 2 members on the board) it is my understanding from our HC counsel Lawrence Tabas that the scope of their voting powers can be limited to certain agenda items.
      • Value Behavioral Health needs changed to Magellan Behavioral Health of PA
      • DHS has placed us on a calendar year, so our annual audit usually begins In February and commences in May of the following year.
  • BHoCC internal audit (sent via interoffice on 5/23/23)
  • Reinvestment Committee Meeting: Ad hoc:
    • Walk-In Crisis approved. Open house scheduled for October 18 th at 2:30
    • Transitional Housing approved.
    • Low Barrier Housing approved.
    • Recovery Community Center awarded RFP. In search of property.
    • Supportive Housing discussions taking place
  • Behavioral Health of Cambria County (BHoCC) Key Initiatives for 2023:
    • Housing
    • Suicide Awareness
    • Educating schools on IBHS/referrals
  • Magellan Behavioral Health (MBH) Updates:
    • Housing Consortium was held on July 17th.
    • Housing roadmap to be created
    • Housing APP to be created to show available services for housing
  • 2023 BHoCC Trainings: UPDATE: All trainings will be held in-person (Cambria County Academic Center) and transition to zoom if needed due to COVID regulations. More information can be found on our FB page and/or website www.bhocc.org.
