Presented by: Andrew Nocita, Ph.D.

This training will include exploration of communication patterns; how conflict can arise; and how to resolve conflicts peacefully. It is natural for people with diverse values, opinions, and interpersonal styles to have differences and to come into conflict with one another, and there are various paths to addressing conflict. In this training, participants will learn to identify and be mindful of their own feelings, values, and opinions, as well as those of others, and to choose assertive strategies to resolve conflict. The training brings together conflict resolution theory, Dialectical Behavior Therapy concepts and techniques, and Person-Centered theory and techniques. This training is oriented toward behavioral health professionals, and can be applied to conflicts in all interpersonal situations.
